My Boys

The older Everett gets, the more he loves his papa, and the more he always wants to be doing what his papa is doing, exactly how he is doing it, and exactly when he is doing it.

Everett is not yet a big talker; Joel is not much of a talker. They spend their hours together in quiet companionship. They are cohorts. Ball enthusiasts. Energetic wrestlers. Outside wanderers. Slide conquerors. Contented companions. Loyal.

They interact, each automatically synching to the other, a deep understanding forming between them.

And there are not many things that make me happier.
